“NOVEMBER 8.-THE FEAST OF THE HOLY RELICS. PROTESTANTISM pretends to regard the veneration which the Church pays to the relics of the Saints as a sin, and contends that this pious practice is a remnant of paganism. The Council of Trent, on the contrary, has decided that the bodies of the martyrs and other saints who were living members of Jesus Christ and temples of the Holy Ghost, are to be honored by the faithful. This decision was based upon the established usage of the earliest days of the Church, and upon the teaching of the Fathers and of the Councils. The Counci1 orders, however, that all abuse of this devotion is to be avoided carefully, and forbids any relics to be exposed which have not been approved by the bishops, and these prelates are recommended to instruct the people faithfully in the teaching of the Church on this subject. While we regret, then, the errors of the impious and of heretics, let us profit by the advantages which we gain by hearkening to the voice of the …More

Saints Octavius, Solutor & Adventor | Brave Soldiers of the Theban Legion | Catechism for Kid St Joseph's Corner Did you know there were Christian soldiers who chose Jesus over the Roman Empire, even when it cost them everything? In this episode of Catechism for Kids, we honour Saints Octavius, Solutor, and Adventor, three heroic soldiers from the famous Theban Legion, martyred around 297 AD near Turin, Italy. The Roman Emperor Maximian demanded that the legion kill innocent Christians. The Theban soldiers, who were Christians themselves, refused — choosing loyalty to Christ over obedience to an unjust command. Many were killed, including Octavius, Solutor, and Adventor, who escaped briefly but were eventually captured and executed for their faith. Their courage teaches children that true strength doesn’t come from swords or shields… but from a heart that chooses what is good and right. Topics we’ll cover: Who the Theban Legion were Why the Roman Empire persecuted Christians …More
here. It never ceases to amaze me that in the modern world, people are primarily afraid of Cardinal Fernandez is seeing phantoms when he says that it is no longer advisable to use the title “Co-Redemptrix” for Mary. So I see nothing unreasonable in the idea that Mary, in a manner totally subordinate and arising from grace, participated in the work of Christ. The term Co-Redemptrix is not as shocking as some fear. And, honestly, if Cardinal Fernandez is afraid that people will put Mary on an equal footing with Christ, then the problem lies not with Mary, but with Fernandez. It is precisely Mary's presence that reminds me that the Christian faith is not an idea, a philosophy, or a moral system, but history. The factual reality of Mary's cooperation in the work of our redemption does not stem from human invention, but from the fact that God Himself decided to work through human mediation. Every step in the history of salvation shows that God does not act in spite of man, but through man …
Around 50 transgender-identifying people joined other vulnerable groups at a Vatican lunch for the Jubilee of the Poor on November 16. Invitations were distributed through charities, not targeted to any specific group. Priest Andrea Conocchia, known for ministry to LGBT people, praised the event as a sign of openness. Some activists, including Alessia Nobile, expressed gratitude, though a few were disappointed not to sit near Pope Leo XIV. Organizers said seating was random and some activists arrived late.
Among the 1,300 guests at today's "Lunch for the Poor" event in the Vatican's Paul VI Hall were 48 transvestites. Many of them get money as homosexual prostitutes. As Leo XIV entered, one transvestite handed him an image of Our Lady. The Pope accepted it and moved to his table to address the crowd. Unlike in previous years, there were no transvestites seated at the main table with the Pope. Transvestite "Alessia" Nobile told WashingtonPost.com that he had managed to give a letter to Leo XIV: "The fact that he mingled with us and sat close to us is a good sign, right?" Curia Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, who oversaw the organisation of the event, attempted to present the seating plan as a purely logistical decision. He claimed that places at the top table were given to poor parishioners who had attended an earlier Eucharist, while the transvestites arrived later and sat elsewhere. #newsYfuuupaion
MADRID (LifeSiteNews) — The president of the Spanish Bishops’ Conference has called out the “tragedy of 73 million abortions” carried out every year worldwide. In his address at the 128th Plenary Assembly of the Spanish bishops in Madrid, Luis Javier Argüello García, Archbishop of Valladolid, spoke about how abortion is being swept under the rug by secular society, and pro-lifers are being marginalized. “Anyone who publicly declares that abortion is objectively immoral because it ends the life of a human being other than the parents risks harsh personal, social, and political condemnation: ‘Questioning this achievement? Doubting this right? That is the height of fascist and authoritarian thinking and deserves to be immediately labeled as right-wing extremism,’” Argüello said. “Providing information to pregnant women is considered abuse, and praying outside an abortion clinic is considered a threat.” “Why this refusal to think rationally and let science – DNA, genomics, ultrasound …
Imagine the good that could happen if more bishops spoke about the evil of abortion at their meetings instead of the non-issues like climate change, UN goals, SINodality and ecumenism.
1 Maccabees 2: Book of 1 Maccabees, Antiochus Epiphanes IV, Catholic Bible Study, Fr. Tim Peters 1st book of Maccabees 2,15-29. The officers of the king in charge of enforcing the apostasy came to the city of Modein to organize the sacrifices. Many of Israel joined them, but Mattathias and his sons gathered in a group apart. Then the officers of the king addressed Mattathias: "You are a leader, an honorable and great man in this city, supported by sons and kinsmen. Come now, be the first to obey the king's command, as all the Gentiles and the men of Judah and those who are left in Jerusalem have done. Then you and your sons shall be numbered among the King's Friends, and shall be enriched with silver and gold and many gifts." But Mattathias answered in a loud voice: "Although all the Gentiles in the king's realm obey him, so that each forsakes the religion of his fathers and consents to the king's orders, yet I and my sons and my kinsmen will keep to the covenant of our fathers. Saint Bernward (November 20) (also known as Berward) Born c.960; died at Hildesheim, 1022; canonized 1193 by Pope Celestine III. The Saxon Saint Bernward was ordained a priest by Saint Willigis in Mainz, and after serving as tutor and chaplain to Emperor Otto III was made bishop of Hildesheim in 993. His episcopate was disturbed by political and ecclesiastical troubles, including a seven-year dispute with Saint Willigis about the convent at Gandersheim. Bernward is one of the most attractive figures of medieval Germany- -a German Saint Dunstan. He is primarily remembered as a patron of the arts. He himself excelled as an architect, sculptor, decorator, painter and metal-worker, and Hildesheim became famous for its ‘school’ of sacred art: the Bernward bronze doors, cross, column, and candlesticks are still there to testify to its achievements. He was also responsible for building Saint Michael’s abbey church at Hildesheim, which has been said to ‘represent religious architecture in the …More

The Swiss bishops on Monday published new guidelines outlining how they intend to handle the employment and relationships of priests, deacons, and lay pastoral workers. Main phrase: "We have decided not to publish a catalogue of rules and criteria". Ten Commandments No More They declare their acceptance of 'current lived realities' and the 'irregularities' of clergy and Church employees - without explicitly naming what this includes, though the implications are obvious: cohabitation, adultery, or homosexuality. The bishops write: "The teaching of Pope Francis has emphasized that people in partnerships and family forms that do not conform to Catholic tradition and doctrine embody values that deserve respect and recognition […]. The path of the Church is […] the path of mercy and inclusion." Bishops Accept Situation Ethics The guidelines indicate that it is no longer appropriate to exclude persistent sinners from paid pastoral roles. Personal situations should be evaluated in dialogue …More

NOVEMBER 20 2025 THE GOSPEL breski1 Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 19,41-44. As Jesus drew near Jerusalem, he saw the city and wept over it, saying, "If this day you only knew what makes for peace--but now it is hidden from your eyes. For the days are coming upon you when your enemies will raise a palisade against you; they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides. They will smash you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another within you because you did not recognize the time of your visitation."
"The bishops of Canada ought be defending the memory of those men and women who gave their lives and sacrificed much to work to spread the Gospel in those residential schools. They were not there to abuse and murder Indigenous children. This is another lie. Instead of defending Mother Church, Fr. Jesu and the bishops have thrown Her under the bus. Sadly, Father Susai Jesu's appointment as archbishop shows that there is no interest in the truth."
