It reports that the Simcoe County District School Board has in-serviced teachers on how to start student Gender and Sexuality Alliance Clubs (GSA). This is bad enough, but it gets much worse. Teachers are told that parents need not be informed about the training nor the resources used. Morality aside, is this even legal? For the school year 2024-2025, teachers were instructed to keep the so called "professional development" about GSAs private. The new rule being: “What is said in the meeting stays in the meeting.” It was all done with the goal of creating "safe spaces" for students.
