Peoria Resumes the Cause for Archbishop Fulton Sheen

USA

The diocese of Peoria has resumed its efforts to advance the cause for Archbishop Fulton Sheen’s beatification. The archbishop was a priest of that Diocese. He gained worldwide fame as a media pioneer, author, and missionary. On Nov. 3, Bishop Jenky of Peoria had suspended work on the cause because of a dispute with the Archdiocese of New York over the future location of Archbishop Sheen's remains. The body is now in a crypt beneath St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York. Bishop Jenky has petitioned for its transfer to St. Mary’s Cathedral in Peoria. The matter is now being reviewed by the Vatican Congregation for the causes of Saints.

Nuncio Thanked By Russian Patriarch

Russia

Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has thanked the Vatican Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Archbishop Antonio Mennini. Mennini was in office since November 2002. Last month he was appointed nuncio to Great Britain. More than once Mennini has backed the Russian Church. He welcomed the ideas of introducing chaplains in the Russian Army and promotion of the Orthodox Culture in schools. He also defended the Moscow Patriarchate against claims that it aimed at a so called "clericization" of society.

Crazy Things in Church

USA

On Wednesday, the “National Catholic Register” has published the 11 craziest things I’ve ever heard in Church. Here two examples: Whispers a father in the pew behind me to his children who were being a little noisy: “When we get to the car I’m testing all of you on what the gospel was. And if you get it wrong you’re dead.” Or this one: A priest at the beginning of Mass: “If this is your first time here, we do things a little differently…Now give the person next to you a hug.”

UK Celebrates the Gay Community

UK

Children are to be taught in the United Kingdom about homosexuality in math, geography and science lessons as part of a Government-backed drive to "celebrate the gay community". Lesson plans have been drawn up for pupils as young as four. The initiative will be officially launched next month. Among the suggestions are: Maths – teaching statistics through census findings about the number of homosexuals in the population, and using gay characters in scenarios for maths problems. Larry from The Acts of the Apostasy comments: Well, you know what they say about gays and math - they can add, subtract and divide well enough. They just can't multiply. And Gay Geography? – he continues: “Well, at least the kids will learn what areas to avoid.”

That's why I'm a big fan of V-II. Instead of going to a bar wasting time and money, I can just go to one of these liberated churches, hug and kiss women I've never met before and nobody calls the police. Civilization of love , Yipee!

Don't know why you'd even be going to a novus ordo if it weren't for a huggin & a kissin. 😀
The parents should pull their children out of those schools promoting homosexuality. It's everywhere. Parents need to Homeschool today.More

A word of caution, make sure that this "Hug" Mass was not one meant for gays and then I wouldn't mind a little hug. Depending on my very superficial, skin-deep assessment of the person I would be hugging, maybe I would add a little kiss of peace on the cheek just to warm things up a little on a cold winter's day.
