Sacris Solemnis: Capilla de Música de la Catedral de Pamplona
muisire January 24, 2011 Sacris Solemnis ("To the Sacred Feast') Sacris solemnis juncta sint gaudia, Et ex praecordiis sonent praeconia: Recedent vetera, nova sint omnia, Corda, voces et opera. To the sacred feast let joy be joined, Praise shall sound from our hearts: Let the old things depart and all be made new, Our hearts, words and deeds. Pange, lingua, gloriosi Corporis mysterium, Sanguinisque pretiosi, quem in mundi pretium fructus ventris generosi Rex effudit gentium. Sing, my tongue, the mystery Of the glorious Body And of the precious Blood, Which, fruit of the blessed womb, He the King of nations Gave to ransom the world. Sacris solemnis juncta sint gaudia, Et ex praecordiis sonent praeconia: Recedent vetera, nova sint omnia, Corda, voces et opera. To the sacred feast let joy be joined, Praise shall sound from our hearts: Let the old things depart and all be made new, Our hearts, words and deeds. Tantum ergo Sacramentum veneremur cernui: et antiquum documentum novo cedat ritui: praestet fides supplementum sensuum defectui. Amen. Bowing low then Let us worship So great a Sacrament. The old law gives place To a new rite, Faith supplies the lack of sight. Translations from the / traduciones desde el "Parish Book of Chant', CMAA, 2008. Sacris Solemnis ("To the Sacred Feast')

Sacris solemnis juncta sint gaudia,
Et ex praecordiis sonent praeconia:
Recedent vetera, nova sint omnia,
Corda, voces et opera.

To the sacred feast let joy be joined,
Praise shall sound from our hearts:
Let the old things depart and all be made new,
Our hearts, words and deeds.

Pange, lingua, gloriosi
Corporis mysterium,
Sanguinisque pretiosi,
quem in mundi pretium
fructus ventris generosi
Rex effudit gentium.

Sing, my tongue, the mystery
