Since 2016, around 100,000 Canadians have been killed through euthanasia, officially labelled MAiD (medical assistance in dying). Introduced under the pretext of "rare cases", the definition has been broadened to encompass non-terminal conditions and, soon, mental illness. MAiD House, which has charitable status, opened its first euthanasia facility in Toronto in 2021 and a second site in Victoria, British Columbia, in 2024. In 2023, MAiD deaths (16,000) accounted for around 5% of all deaths in Canada (325,000).
Once a so-called "government" of "public servants" advocates and encourages the murder of it's citizens you have the WORST of tyrannies! At least other totalitarian states only had the goal to enslave the populace.
Recently the very popular Canadian children's writer Robert Munsch just got the go ahead to be killed. He was diagnosed with dementia. He tried to make a joke of the whole thing by saying, "My application consisted of 'Hello Doc, come and kill me' and added, "How much time do I have? 15 seconds.'" Nobody is laughing.

ADVERSITIES ARE USEFUL - Thomas a Kempis, THE IMITATION OF CHRIST 1. It is good that we occasionally experience adversity, because it often leads us to withdraw into ourselves, so that, recognizing our exile, we place no hope in anything in the world. It is good that contradictions sometimes make us uncomfortable, and that others misinterpret what we do for their benefit, even with the best of intentions. These things usually help us to be humble and protect us from the evil tendency toward self-glorification. And then we seek God more readily as the witness of our lives, because we lose esteem and credibility among others. 2. We should seek comfort exclusively in God, so that we do not need to seek human comfort. When a virtuous person is troubled, tempted, and plagued by evil thoughts, then they know they have a greater need for God, for they have learned from experience that without Him they can do nothing good. Then he grows sad, groans, and begs the Lord to deliver him from the …More
Every Soul Rises: Heaven Or Eternal Horror Today, we remember those who have passed and pray for their souls. Through the eighth of November, a plenary indulgence can be gained for the souls in purgatory by visiting a cemetery or praying for them. This indulgence requires confession, Holy Communion, detachment from sin, and prayer for the souls. Fr. Altier emphasizes the importance of repentance and seeking God’s mercy through confession to avoid eternal suffering in hell. He highlights the blessing of those alive at the end of the world, who will be caught up in the clouds and experience a purification process before being judged. He encourages focusing on prayer, following the commandments, and living a moral life to stay in a state of grace and attain heaven. Strive to love, grow in holiness, and know God’s will to achieve the fullest glory of the resurrection, sharing in God’s glory for eternity. Fr. Altier’s Daily Homilies Fr. They once asked Sheikh Rashid, the founder of Dubai, how he saw the future of his country. He replied: “My grandfather rode a camel. My father rode a camel. I drive a Mercedes. My son drives a Land Rover. My grandson will also drive a Land Rover. But my great-grandson… will probably ride a camel again.” “Why would you say that?” they asked. “Because there are a few timeless truths that rule the world,” he explained. “Hard times create strong people. Strong people create good times. Good times create weak people. And weak people create hard times. Many won’t understand this, but prosperity doesn’t create fighters — it creates parasites. And that’s how good times disappear.”
FBI fires top official amid Kash Patel’s outrage over reports of agency jet use A top FBI official with 27 years standing has reportedly been fired by the bureau after its director, Kash Patel, became enraged by press stories revealing he had used a government jet to travel to see his girlfriend sing the national anthem at a wrestling match. Steven Palmer, who had worked at the bureau since 1998, was fired as head of the FBI’s critical incident response group which is responsible for handling major security threats as well as overseeing the agency’s fleet of jets. He was the third head of the unit to be dismissed since Patel became the second Trump administration’s FBI director in February. Bloomberg Law, which broke the story, said that three unnamed sources had expressed astonishment at the sacking given that Patel’s flight schedules were fully public and trackable on websites. A day after her performance, Patel himself had reposted photos showing him together with his girlfriend …More
