But first all the liberal 60's (throw the veil and collar away) people have got to go, including those teaching in seminaries and all the ones they recruited; not to mention the Disobedient bishops who turn a deaf ear to the Pope. It is turning around for sure though. We see it with so many traditional orders blooming and the youth are definitely seeking the sacred …More

It is turning around for sure though. We see it with so many traditional orders blooming and the youth are definitely seeking the sacred and holiness of the Mass...the increase in traditional orders prove it.
Hey Rope....hi. This is quite tame. In the 70s-90s, my parish priest tells me (he's Dutch) that the clergy wore NO vestments, not even an alb in summertime. In the winter they wore ALL the old vestments (the warmth factor is obvious here....NOT the obedience to church rubrics and norms!). They even had beer and biscuits for communion!

In one of the most important churches of downtown Amsterdam; St. Nicholas or Sint Nicolaas.
Mass starts without the sign of the cross.
The priest (without chasuble), just sits in a pew in front of the person with the camera after consecration.
After the communion of 'wine' the sacristan placed the 'leftovers' on the servers (credence table). The priest did Not touch anything.
