Matrimony at the Vatican.
Laura Gómez, from Spain, and Giovanni Tridente, from Italy, were united in marriage on Saturday, October 25 in the Basilica of Saint Peter under the watchful gaze of family, friends and colleagues.
Laura has been with the H2onews team for over a year now and is responsible for the archive. Born in Valencia, she lived most her life in Cuenca. She traveled to Madrid to study communication at the King Juan Carlos University; joining the Erasmus program, on her third year she moved to Rome to attend the University of the Holy Cross where currently Giovanni teaches.
Before they met, Laura and Giovanni had both entrusted themselves to the Servant of God, John Paul II, that he might help them find the right person to build a truly Christian matrimony.
Shortly after, the young couple met during a pilgrimage to Poland to places where the Polish Pope had lived. For this reason they chose the Basilica of Saint Peter for place of their matrimony, the heart of the Church and resting place of John Paul II's mortal remains.
