The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has demanded that Poland recognize same-sex “marriage.” In a November 25 ruling, the ECtHR announced that Poland must legally acknowledge so-called same-sex “marriages” performed in another European Union country, as part of the latest push to embed the LGBT ideology in Polish culture. “A Member State has the obligation to recognise a marriage between two Union citizens of the same sex that has been lawfully concluded in another Member State where they have exercised their freedom to move and reside,” the ruling reads. Tucho Fernández, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, released on November 25 the document on monogamy, titled ‘Una caro. Elogio della monogamia’. This 156-paragraph, 40-page text essentially compiles what has been said throughout history about matrimony, from the Book of Genesis and the Church Fathers to Popes, philosophers, pagan cultures, and poets. For example, Fernández quotes Hindu sources such as the Manusmṛti, the Bhagavata Purana and the Thirukkural to affirm the value of monogamy. The document was written after discussions with African Bishops on polygamy and also on polyamorous relations, growing in the West. Our Lord constantly represented the Judaic scriptures, fulfilling them with His exemplification of them in Word and deed. He never quoted any other texts although, given the cultural pool His land was at the time, He likely would have heard about at least some of them. Leo XIV has released today two documents a new General Regulation of the Roman Curia and a Personnel Regulation about recruitment.
