Religious Freedom in Marocco?
Marocco
On June 17, King Mohammed VI of Morocco announced a series of proposed constitutional reforms. They will be voted upon in a July 1 referendum. The new constitution will also guarantee “freedom of religious worship.” Moroccan law permits Sunni Muslims to proselytize but forbids attempts to convert Sunni Muslims. In 2009 and 2010, the government expelled 150 foreign Christians accused of proselytism.
Lack of Communication in the Church?
Germany
"We have a basic lack of communication in the Church," Kardinal Kasper said last week in the Bonn published newsletter of the German Ecumenical Sermon Prize. He continued: “In the old canon law before the Second Vatican Council, a Diocesan synod had to be held no later than every ten years. We need an ongoing culture of dialogue of the bishop with the priests and the faithful. Cardinal Kasper was from 2001-2009 President of the Secretariat for Christian Unity.

Ah, I got the answer to my question I posited yesterday. Once a communist, always a communist and that poison of Marxist ideology continues to cripple the church. Liberation Theology is only dead in official circles, not in upper level clerical circles of poisoned clerics. 🥴

Cardinal Supports A Communist

Italy

Cardinal Dionigi Tettamanzi, Archbishop of Milan, gave his support earlier in this year to the construction of a large mosque in Milan.

We can only hope that Cardinal Tetamanzi got something for this deal. What? Perhaps some concessions from the local or foreign Imams that Christians are less likely to be beheaded in one or another Islamic hell hole.

Giuliano (new major of Milan) Pisapia, the Socialist candidate

Giuliano has been described as a former communist and now we discover that he is merely a Socialist? :-) Is there really a difference?
