From state of the art entertainment technology, the iPhone and iPod Touch are now becoming instruments of prayer and meditation thanks to the iBreviary, an application created by a parish priest from the Diocese of Tortona, Fr. Paolo Padrini.
"With a simple text on the touchpad of the iPhone or the iPod Touch, I have an application that brings me directly to the current day and gives me the opportunity to pray through the Catholic Breviary, with divided categories of Office of Readings, Lauds , Mid-day Prayer, Vespers, Compline. Besides this, I can always read the text in the usual way, or and in "rotating landscape" mode (which is a feature of iPhone), to browse the page of the Mass with the readings of the day and of course the other main Catholic prayers."
The iBreviary is currently available in 6 languages, including Italian- in both Roman and Ambrosian rites, English, Latin, French and Spanish
