Seeing God With the Eyes of Faith
The Epiphany celebrates the manifestation of Christ’s divinity, first revealed to the Magi, then to John the Baptist, and finally at the wedding at Cana. This revelation requires faith, as Christ’s divinity was hidden, and it manifests through the fruits of our lives, such as spiritual growth and positive change. As believers, we become living epiphanies, reflecting God’s glory and grace to the world through our actions and faith.

Madrid Cardinal Entrusts Homosexual Lobby Group to Indoctrinate Priestly Seminary

The Spanish homosexual lobby group Crismhom held training sessions at the priestly seminary of Madrid, InfoVaticana.com reported on January 8.
The Archbishop of Madrid is Cardinal José Cobo.
The formation program consisted of a twelve-hour course held on 7 November, 14 November, and 5 December 2025.
The sessions were led by Rev. Jesús Sastre García, a priest of the Archdiocese of Madrid and the spiritual director of Crismhom. His written work includes an article on “Accompanying young people,” with special attention to homosexual youth. According to InfoVaticana, he defends sodomy as a way of expressing human love.
At the session held on 14 November, Crismhom's pastoral and anthropological deviations were presented in a favourable light. References to liberation theology were also made and proposed as a preferred pastoral framework.
Following the completion of the sessions, several deacons reportedly expressed their objections to the rector of the seminary, Rev. Antonio Secilla …More

The Power of the Spirit
Sunday, January 11, Feast of the Baptism of Jesus
Dear brothers and sisters, the Baptism of Jesus, by revealing Jesus' true identity, also reveals our true identity... Indeed, through Christian Baptism, we are called to become "adoptive children of God in the Only Begotten Son."
Indeed, the opening of Heaven, the Holy Spirit descending upon the Only-Begotten Son in the form of a dove, and the voice of the Father expressing his delight in Him, have an extraordinary meaning for us too, God's adoptive children.
First of all, for the man Jesus, as united to the divine nature through the hypostatic union in the person of the Word of God, "Heaven opens," that is, the mystery of God is no longer, so to speak, "a sealed book, but an open one." No one, Jesus says, knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him, that is, to us Christians, who through baptism are united to Him as branches to the …More

New Brazilian Archbishop Tolerated "Jesus Heals Homophobia" Slogan

Pope Leo XIV has appointed Monsignor Marco Aurélio Gubiotti, 62, as Archbishop of Juiz de Fora, transferring him from the Diocese of Itabira–Fabriciano. Monsignor Gubiotti is aligned with the pastoral orientation of Pope Francis and the ultraliberal Brazilian Bishops’ Conference.
Biographical and Priestly Formation
Monsignor Gubiotti was born on 21 October 1963 in Ouro Fino and was ordained a priest on 14 January 1989, incardinated in the Archdiocese of Pouso Alegre.
One week before his resignation, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Itabira–Fabriciano on 21 February 2013. He received episcopal ordination on 26 May 2013.
“You Shall Not Participate in the Roman Rite”
In a December 2014 letter (see below), Bishop Gubiotti warned the faithful against participation in Masses celebrated in the Roman Rite which he linked to the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX). The group Christ the King Mission, located in Ipatinga, was a breakaway chapel from the Fraternity and belonged …More

How Leo XIV’s Consistory Plays Out — or Was Played

As Pope Leo XIV opened the first extraordinary consistory of his pontificate on Wednesday, he structured the programme in a way that avoided substantive discussion of key issues.
Even participating cardinals had previously believed official messaging and expected the liturgy to be addressed. Cardinal Hollerich of Luxembourg told journalists outside the Synod Hall on Wednesday that he had believed the Mass in the Roman rite would be discussed during the consistory.
“I’m not against it,” he said, “but I do not like some of the values that are sometimes attached to it — no interreligious dialogue, not accepting the Second Vatican Council, and so on. But the liturgy itself, I think, is no problem. If many people have access to God through that liturgy, then that’s fine with me.”
Is Leo XIV Playing for Time with Naive Catholics?
However, Leo XIV informed the consistory that, due to alleged “time constraints,” only two of the four outlined topics would be discussed.
He then staged a vote …More

Gen. Michael Flynn Alleges Speaker Mike …
Retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn has leveled explosive allegations against Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, claiming that a lack of accountability regarding massive taxpayer fraud in Minnesota is linked to the Speaker’s own financial networks.
In a recent statement, the former National Security Advisor suggested that his private investigation into the “robbery” of American taxpayers led him directly to the door of the House leadership.
Flynn stated that he began looking into the lack of federal movement on the Minnesota daycare fraud cases.
His findings, he claims, point to a circular flow of capital involving Speaker Johnson’s Political Action Committees (PACs).

The popular Italian traditional website Messa in Latino, wrote Jan. 7 that it had contacted some anonymous but important cardinals who all said they were “discouraged and disappointed” about the relegation of the liturgy as a discussion topic.
In comments to the Register Jan. 8, the website’s editor Luigi Casalini asked: “To whom did the Pope delegate this choice, and according to what criteria were these cardinals of the nine local churches selected in order to remove — in effect — two topics?” He also wondered “why cardinals sensitive to the issue” appear to have “made no attempt to lobby” for the liturgy to be included as a core topic of discussion, “even before the consistory.”
The consistory, he added, “appears to be in perfect continuity with the Synods and the thought of Francis” — a reference to how recent synods were silent on the traditional liturgy.

Liturgy Sidestepped at Pope Leo XIV’s First Consistory

Cardinals choose evangelization and synodality as key topics, disappointing those who expected the liturgy to be a central theme after recent restrictions on the traditional form of the Roman rite.
ROME — Some cardinals and faithful who have a devotion to the traditional Roman rite have expressed concern that the liturgy appears to be sidelined in the extraordinary consistory currently underway at the Vatican after the cardinals voted to give priority to other issues on the agenda.
In his opening address to the consistory yesterday, Pope Leo XIV reaffirmed to the cardinal participants that they will have the opportunity to “engage in a communal reflection” on four themes already pre-announced to be on the meeting’s agenda.
Those topics, he said, were Pope Francis’ 2013 apostolic exhortation Evangelii Gaudium “that is, the mission of the Church in today’s world,” Praedicate Evangelium, the late pope’s apostolic constitution reforming the Roman Curia; the Synod and synodality “as …

Catholic Bishops and Saints veiled at Conference Center in Mainz
A Sign of Reckoning

At the Erbacher Hof Christian conference centre, statues of saints, bishops, and coats of arms are veiled. This measure follows a 2023 study and aims to create a new culture of remembrance. For the time being, the rooms are designated "Interim."
The reckoning with decades of abuse in the Catholic Church continues. Hardly a month goes by without a new academic study or report fueling the debate in one of the 27 dioceses. In Mainz, the capital of Rhineland-Palatinate, activists are making a clear statement: At the Erbacher Hof conference center, located in the historic city center near the Rhine, all references to church figures were temporarily covered at the end of 2025.
A bishop's bust was covered, as were coats of arms in the courtyard and the names of the event rooms. All of them are labeled "Interim" until further notice to emphasize their temporary nature. A framed notice informs visitors to the …

Peace is not passive.
It is a conscious choice.
Not every emotional invitation is ours to accept.
Not every story requires our participation.
Not every pull into intensity is truth.
Drama feeds on reactivity.
Peace grows in presence.
I share more about stepping out of the drama triangle, learning to say no without fear, and choosing what we allow into our sacred space in a new blog post on Facebook.
