geobeats on Jan 20, 2011 The Cadiz Cathedral in southern Spain is a bright, majestic site, located in the sunny region of Andalusia along the Atlantic Coast. Completed in the 19th century, this cathedral took over one hundred years to build and represents both Baroque, and Neoclassical architecture with Rococo elements. Upon entering the cathedral you'll find the tomb of a local composer, exhibitions focusing on the city of Cadiz, and delicately crafted religious artwork. The exterior was constructed and embellished entirely in stone; the large golden dome, however, was lavishly created entirely of yellow tiles. The top of the dome provides a resplendent panorama of the scenic town and gorgeous seascape. Visit the cathedral either for its interior beauties and relics or for its exterior charm and city view.Cadiz Cathedral, Cadiz (Spain)
