The statue of the Apostle Andrew, by François Duquesnoy (1594–1643), in St. Peter’s Basilica is covered in dust. This detail was visible during the broadcast of the Eucharistic celebration for the Jubilee of Prisoners on 15 December, presided over by Pope Leo XIV. The Basilica of St. Peter is under the responsibility of Cardinal Mauro Gambetti.
First this goes against free speech. Just because one is critical of something, does not mean they want to murder or do harm to that individual. To say critics must be killed is mortally sinful and goes against the Gospel. Just because I have been very critical of Biden does not mean I want him murdered. Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword.
Vatican Nativity Unveiled in St. Peter’s Square: Today, the Vatican inaugurated the nativity scene and lit up the Christmas tree in St Peter’s Square. This year's nativity scene was created by the Diocese of Nocera Inferiore–Sarno, which has close links to St Alphonsus Maria de Liguori. His relics are venerated in Pagani, within the diocese. The nativity includes a figure of the saint, who founded the Redemptorists and wrote the Christmas hymn “Tu scendi dalle stelle”.

WITH YOU WE BEG, O OUR MOTHER, SAYING: COME, LORD JESUS! Dom Gueranger III SUNDAY OF ADVENT O holy Roman Church, our strong city! Here we are gathered in your walls, around the tomb of this fisherman whose ashes protect you on earth, while, with his immovable doctrine, he illustrates you from heaven. But, if you are strong, you are for the Savior who will come. He is your wall; for He is the one who surrounds all your children with His mercy; He is the invincible fortress; thanks to Him, infernal powers will never prevail against you. You have forever placed hope in the Lord; and He in turn, faithful to his promise, has humbled before you the heights of pride and the cities of pride. Where are the Caesars who thought they drowned you in your …More
We remember our childhood years, A joyful time, when snow reached our knees, When we searched for the star in the sky. Where are the children of those days? Where is the joy we once knew? Maybe it’s gone because we no longer want children, Cats and dogs are enough for us now. So say: “Merry Christmas, I love you” — And that is enough, Love will mend what has gone wrong.

An American tech company allegedly helped a foreign country plan a terrorist attack on a U.S.-allied nation, injuring nearly 4,000 people and killing children. The UN condemned the attack as a war crime. That company, Palantir, receives over half its funding from U.S. government contracts and holds $10 billion in U.S. Army contracts. In a just society, executives involved in such actions would face prison—not continued taxpayer funding. Who will hold them accountable?
Every time there’s a terrorist attack, politicians use it to cut back civil liberties. We saw it with the Patriot Act, which is still in place decades later. Tragedies are repeatedly used to justify permanent expansions of state power.

I watched that speech when he first made it. Than watched it one or two more times. It was a long speech. I remember in part of his speech he was talking about how one country I won't mention, and how they said that GOD was a woman. Then added But so far they are only thinking about. Then said right after that, GOD Forgive them, for they no not what they do. I cracked up over that. This speech was back in 2022 or 23. I believe.
