In Europe, the controversy surrounding what is popularly known as the “Chat Control” project — proposed EU regulation officially aimed at combating child sexual abuse material — has, for months, been crystallizing massive opposition on both technical and civic fronts. The core principles of the legislation are clear: “Detection software would be embedded in the messaging app or the operating system to scan chat content and automatically forward any material flagged as prohibited to law enforcement agencies.” The automatic scan of private content (texts, images, videos) sent through messaging platforms such as WhatsApp and Telegram, or prompts sent to AI platforms (e.g. ChatGPT) would take place “client-side,” before its encryption, meaning directly on your phone, tablet or computer. Welcome to 1984. In the first proposal for a Chat Control project in 2022, such scanning was mandatory. In the current proposal, it is optional — but strongly recommended. Whenever there is a desire …

Copy Link Copied Share via email Share on X Share on WhatsApp Share on LinkedIn Bart De Wever is holding out over fears Belgium will be on the hook should the money need to be paid back, and has now asked for more safety nets. | Dirik Mag/Getty Images December 10, 2025 10:38 pm CET BRUSSELS ― Europe’s strategy for convincing the Belgians to support its plan to fund Ukraine? Warn them they could be treated like Hungary. At their summit on Dec. 18, EU leaders’ key task will be to win over Bart De Wever, the bloc's latest bête noire. Belgium's prime minister is vetoing their efforts to pull together a €210 billion loan to Ukraine as it faces a huge financial black hole and as the war with Russian grinds on. De Wever has dug his heels in for so long over the plan to fund the loan using frozen Russian assets ― which just happen to be mostly housed …
Canadian Bill Criminalizes Quoting Holy Scripture: In Canada, Bill C-9 would amend the Criminal Code by removing the religious exemption in Section 319(3)(b). The change could allow quoting Holy Scripture in good faith to be prosecuted as hate speech, with penalties of up to two years in prison. The proposal comes from the Liberal government. The Canadian Bishops' Conference has formally opposed the bill in a letter to Prime Minister Mark Carney, warning of legal uncertainty for clergy, educators, and believers and a restriction of religious freedom.
The secular toxic legislation is largely an attack on Christians and Christian belief. The governing Liberal Party of Canada and the Bloc Party from Quebec have no respect for Christians. Today, Catholic Quebec that once was strong is dying quickly. How can you uproot your Christian heritage, the very foundations of the nation, and still have a country? You won’t. You have what former PM Justin Trudeau referred to as a post-nation state with no core values. We have posted several entries about this very sad development in Canada at Everyday for Life Canada.
"By uniting themselves to the divine will, the saints have enjoyed paradise by anticipation in this life. Accustoming themselves to receive all things from the hands of God, says St. Dorotheus, the men of old maintained continual serenity of soul. St. Mary Magdalene of Pazzi derived such consolation at hearing the words “will of God,” that she usually fell into an ecstasy of love."
[Saint Alphonsus Maria de Liguori – XVII-XVIII Century AD; Marianella, Kingdom of Naples/Pagani, Kingdom of Naples; (aged 90); Bishop; spiritual writer, composer, musician, artist, poet, lawyer, scholastic philosopher, and theologian; Founder; Doctor of the Church] “III - Happiness deriving from perfect Uniformity. Acting according to this pattern, one not only becomes holy but also enjoys perpetual serenity in this life. Alphonsus the Great, King of Aragon, being asked one day whom he considered the happiest person in the world, answered: “He who abandons himself to the will of God and accepts all things, prosperous and adverse, as coming from his hands.’’ “To those that love God, all things work together unto good.” Those who love God are always happy, because their whole happiness is to fulfill, even in adversity, the will of God. Afflictions do not mar their serenity, because by accepting misfortune, they know they give pleasure to their beloved Lord: “Whatever shall befall the …More
This only demonstrates that Canadian society is sicker than this woman. Since the politicians of Canada have permitted this psychotic ritual, exactly which of these two should be offered MAiD first?! May God save Canadians from such tyranny.
Comrade Starmer! As desperate Labour rakes over Nigel Farage's schooldays, we reveal the KGB's toxic propaganda machine and the hard-Left past Sir Keir would rather we all forgot Sir Keir Starmer was quick to jump on claims Nigel Farage used anti-Semitic and racist language when he was at school. After the Guardian reported a dossier of lurid complaints from more than 40 years ago, the Prime Minister insisted the Reform leader needed to urgently ‘explain the comments, or alleged comments’. The claims made by more than a dozen former classmates of Mr Farage at Dulwich College in South London – which he strongly denies – are deeply unpleasant. One Jewish contemporary described how the 13-year-old Farage ‘would sidle up to me and growl: “Hitler was right” or “gas them”, sometimes adding a long hiss to simulate the sound of the gas showers’. Another ethnic-minority pupil claimed that when he was about nine and Farage 17, the future politician would ask ‘where I was from’, before …
University must pay $10m for forcing people to have Covid vaccine A Colorado university's medical school has been ordered to pay a $10.3 million settlement to staff and students who said they were forced to take the COVID-19 vaccine despite requesting religious exemptions. The University of Colorado (CU) Anschutz, located in Aurora, was sued in 2021 by 18 anonymous plaintiffs, including physicians, medical students, nurses, researchers and administrative staff, who argued the school's mandate violated their First Amendment rights. The Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals ultimately ruled that Chancellor Donald Elliman and other university officials acted with 'religious animus' when they rejected all requests for religious exemptions. Under the settlement, the university must now allow students to request religious accommodations on equal terms as employees, and grant religious exemption requests the same consideration as medical exemptions, a reversal of its policy during the pandemic. The …
December 12 Our Lady of Guadalupe Queen of Mexico (1531) In December 1531, ten years after taking Mexico City by Cortés, walking the Indian Juan Diego, who came from Cuautitlán, towards the hill of Tepeyac - hill that is north of the metropolis - he heard a melodious music that was called sweetly. She was a beautiful Lady, who spoke to her with maternal words. -Juan Diego, my son, where are you going? - He replied that to Tlatelolco to hear Mass. -And the Lady added: I am the always Virgin Mary, Mother of the true God. The dialogues between the Virgin and Juan Diego are a delight of sweetness. - Juan Dieguito, my youngest son, do not disturb your heart. Am I not here that I am your mother? Am I not the source of your joy? Aren't you in the hollow of my mantle, in the crossing of my arms? - And Juan Diego answers: My lady, my youngest daughter, my young lady, my daughter, my little girl, how did you wake up? Do you feel your beloved little body well, my girl? The Virgin asks him to go …More
This meme shows an important truth. The Nazis weren't actually "right-wing" - they were totalitarian like the Communists. The same thing the Antifa woke Left is!
Interesting... In Europe Catholic NGO denied funding for upholding family values, in the U.S. "catholic" NGOs denied funding for undermining security by aiding trafficking of illegal immigrants.
Today's guest entry comes from a friend Claudio Ceolin. It's a great Advent and Christmas story about peace at a time of war. It reminded of me of the wise words from the poem by Thomas Hardy titled, "The Man He killed." This is the final stanza, "Yes; quaint and curious war is! / You shoot a fellow down / You'd treat if met where any bar is, / Or help to half-a-crown." "Silent Night" and the Christmas Truce of 1914 The First World War (1914-1918) was a horrific and unnecessary conflict in which approximately 10 million soldiers perished. But during the Christmas Truce of 1914 large numbers of British and German troops disobeyed orders, put aside their weapons and fraternized in no-man's land among the trenches. Smaller numbers of French and Belgian soldiers did the same. It began on Christmas Eve and was mostly initiated by German infantry lighting candles on small Christmas trees placed on their parapets and singing "Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht" ("Silent Night"). Soon many troops from …
