Subconscious and innate psychological mechanisms discourage Communion in the hand
In the first weeks of a baby's life are built and defined the primary psychological mechanisms, which are the most important for the physical and emotional survival of people. From there everything else part.
Since we were babies our mind used hand to manipulate reality around us, to pick up objects, toys, food, etc.. And later for handling all instruments and money everyday, etc.
This is how I love to see the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. I love receiving our Lord Jesus Christ on my tongue and I hope one day we can all have this privilege of receiving Jesus on the tongue. We have to know who we are receiving when we go to Holy Communion. God bless this Bishop!
