No sooner does the Vatican come out with a stamp out Social justice stance, (and Rightly So) does the Cardinal start up this non-sense. Can't he find anything that will build up the Church to do?
As an economics professor, I disagree with the whole thing. Minimum wage laws cause unemployment and cause the folks affected by this to go work in the underground economy. I love Cardinal Dolan, but our clerics know no more about economics since their Statement on the Economy years ago demonstrated that fact.
