Leo XIV has confirmed Cardinal Kurt Koch, 75, as the new President of Aid to the Church in Need (ACN). He succeeds Cardinal Mauro Piacenza, 81, who led the foundation for fourteen years. In 2024, ACN supported more than 5,000 projects in about 140 countries, investing roughly €140 million in aid. While Bishop of Basel, Switzerland (1995–2010), Monsignor Koch reflected the generally liberal stance of the Swiss bishops. After Benedict XVI appointed him Prefect of the Dicastery for Christian Unity, Cardinal Koch was seen as close to Ratzinger’s theological vision. Under Francis, Koch aligned with the new tone. In 2013, he called Martin Luther “a seeker of God.” In 2017, he called for a “new understanding” of Martin Luther and praised the secularising Reformation as a “festival of Christ.” In recent years, he has both denounced the impossibility of coexistence between the Roman Rite and the Novus Ordo (2020) and requested (2025) that the Church “open the now-closed door” of the Roman …More

Because our understanding of truth is heavily influenced by our own views, and these are generally shaped by the media we consume. Thus, uncritical viewers of television propaganda become part of that propaganda themselves. An interesting interview was published today on unser-mitteleuropa.com: Sergey Lavrov on quality that surpasses even Western media dominance – Part 2.Source. …whenever a projectile or fragment from the air defense system hit a civilian facility, Ukraine and countries that support its regime immediately cried out that Russia was acting “inhumanely” . The UN Security Council convened a meeting on this issue in New York on November 19. The same old clichés were trotted out, but no one responded to our demand to see evidence. It is regrettable that the UN Secretariat is completely …

However, as I know the power obedience has of making things easy which seem impossible, my will submits with a good grace, although nature seems greatly distressed, for God has not given me such strength as to bear, without repugnance, the constant struggle against …More

Locals in the village of Morcá, Colombia, were left stunned after an image resembling the face of the Virgin Mary appeared on the side of a mountain. Residents say the formation emerged around three months ago when part of the rock naturally broke away, but many believe the likeness is a sign of Mary’s presence and protection. Since photos and videos went viral, crowds of pilgrims and curious visitors have been traveling to the site, praying and leaving flowers. Others remain skeptical, calling it a coincidence or natural pattern in the rock.
The brain drain from Starmer's socialist chaos: Record 110,051 seek asylum but Britons leave in droves Britain is facing a new 'brain drain' that threatens to add to the pain of Rachel Reeves' disastrous Budget. Official figures on Thursday revealed an exodus of young Britons while asylum seekers now make up nearly half of net migration. As Ms Reeves struggles with her drive for growth, such stark changes risk putting even more strain on the public purse and dragging down the economy yet further, experts warn. Taxpayers face footing an 'intolerable burden' to support migrants arriving here, they said, while this week's Budget is likely to drive away even more young people. Overall net migration – the difference between those arriving to live long-term in the UK minus those emigrating – plummeted to 204,000 in the year to June, the Office for National Statistics said, on the back of a series of tough Tory measures. But the number of asylum seekers coming to Britain has surged to a …

God the Eternal Father to Saint Catherine of Siena: 'Do you imagine that I am unable to find ways of achieving whatever I have determined and predetermined on? However, I realize that you do not speak thus from lack of faith but from humility. Therefore you must know that in these latter days there has been such an upsurge of pride, especially in the case of men who imagine themselves to be learned or wise, that my justice cannot endure them any longer, without delivering a just chastisement upon them that will bring them to confusion. But since my mercy transcends all else I do, I shall first give them a salutary lesson, to see whether they will come to their senses and humble themselves; as I did with the Jews and the Gentiles, when I sent amongst them idiots whom I had filled with divine wisdom. To confound their arrogance, I will raise up women ignorant and frail by nature but endowed with strength and divine wisdom. Then, if the men will come to their senses and humble themselves …More
Cardinal Tucho Fernández clarified his November 4 clarification Mater Populi Fidelis on the Marian title Co-Redemptrix. He was asked about it by DianeMontagna.Substack.com after Tuesday’s press conference. Regarding his formulation that “it is always inappropriate” to use the title Co-Redemptrix, Tucho claimed now that it is "not meant to judge the past". However, "from now on" it will not be used "either in the liturgy, that is, in liturgical texts, or in the official documents of the Holy See", he believes. "If you, together with your group of friends, believe you understand well the true meaning of this expression, have read the document, and see that its positive aspects are also affirmed there, and you wish to express precisely that within your prayer group or among friends, you may use the title—but it will not be used officially, that is, either in liturgical texts or in official documents." Tucho’s problem is "not its underlying doctrine", but the term itself that risks "…More

Book of Daniel 7,2-14. In a vision I, Daniel, saw during the night, the four winds of heaven stirred up the great sea, from which emerged four immense beasts, each different from the others. The first was like a lion, but with eagle's wings. While I watched, the wings were plucked; it was raised from the ground to stand on two feet like a man, and given a human mind. The second was like a bear; it was raised up on one side, and among the teeth in its mouth were three tusks. It was given the order, "Up, devour much flesh." After this I looked and saw another beast, like a leopard; on its back were four wings like those of a bird, and it had four heads. To this beast dominion was given. After this, in the visions of the night I saw the fourth beast, different from all the others, terrifying, horrible, and of extraordinary strength; it had great iron teeth with which it devoured and crushed, and what was left it trampled with its feet. I was considering the ten horns it had, when suddenly …More
