Rhemes1582 I thank you for praying for me. I will pray for you too. People pray too little today for each others and for good causes. What I have given is the lutheran position today, which I think I know better than you do. That does not mean that I have that position. How can you know that I will not have my confirmation and convert to the catholic church tomorrow?! Do not judge and ye will not be judged yourself. That is something to consider.

Dear Reesorville I thank you for your kind … [More]

A comment to Rhemes1582. What Luther said about The Pope is of no concern today, and besides, it was political rhetorics.

About the sacrifice of the mass that is not a dogma in Lutheran theology like it is not in the orthodox church but they indeed believe that the eucharist is a reciprocal sacrifice which is carried out, the one and only.

Karpov89: May the holes in St. Padre Pio's hands and feet. Holes that you could put a pencil threw; Be a witness to you. May the fact, that just as they appeared, by a mighty act of God, to Him, may the same miracle, happen to you, regarding TRUTH. And just as St. Padre Pio, communed, with Jesus and Mary, and His guardian angel, daily, and fought the devil, nightly, and I mean fought him, hand to hand, in his cell. Freaking, and terrifying everyone out, that lived with him. May you, Karpov89, … [More]

Dear Karpov- that's a very encouraging answer, and I hope that one day you, your church and all others separated from Rome come to recognize the Pope as the successor of Peter. I also think that the many crises that are being experienced in a number of protestant communities with regard to liberalization of doctrines (eg. practicing gay priests, rejection of Christ's divinity, etc.) may only increase to a point of eventual apostasy unless they return to Rome. I was raised in a liberal … [More]

Greetings roman catholic friends. I decide what will be left here so behave respectful and do not preach, it is better with a gentlemen's discussion. It is also not interesting for me to know what Methodists or protestants of other denonimations might believe as they are not Lutherans.

In general; Martin Luther wrote many things and if anyone think that his writings has the same value as the Holy Bible it is wrong. Many things he said was due to the political situation and against the … [More]

Holyrope1: I think, brother we are moving into the area of scripture, where...throwing pearls to swines....fits here. Now we have come to the point, where, we have someone, that is clearly not listening to about 5 of us.......

This is like the famous O.J. Simpson case. And Karpov89 is a juror, that just aquited O.J., and in my little fictional story here, new evidence has just come out, the security camara, worked afterall, and there was a hidden tape, that showed, without a doubt, that O.J. … [More]

Testimony of a prominent Methodist Minister, (and popular talk radio host) of the 2nd largest church in Atlanta area:

Ex Pastor Allen Hunt relays this to the public:

"TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, I DO BELIEVE IN THE REAL PRESENCE OF CHRIST IN COMMUNION. THAT DOCTRINE IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME AS IS THE NOTION THAT CHRIST BIRTHED ONE CHURCH. I HAVE STRUGGLED WITH BOTH OF THESE ISSUES … [More]

Would it be possible if the modern lutheran church also re-interpret papal supremacy to make that acceptable with Luther's doctrine?

(I hope you don't feel too intimidated by us... and I extend a warm hand of welcome to you, even though we criticize your religious tradition)

God Bless,

Karpov89: What do you think, my devout Lutheran Mother is going to think, {who believes the Eucharist is the body and blood, which I am happy about,} when she has her new pastor, come into her church, who just happens to be, married to another man. And he obviously, is a practicing, homosexual....the Lutheran church seems to have switched sides, concerning, I believe in there own, Lutheran Creeds, that Homosexuality, is against the teachings of the Lutheran, ruling body......don't you find it, … [More]

Martin Luther said the Monastic vows/Religious vows," lead AWAY from Christ"!. i mean goodness me.
Our chaste, pure obedient to Mother Church,Holy Father St Benedict and Martin Luther are as opposite as can be!
you must choose, get off the fence and come home.

There is no paradox and monastic life is totally acceptable with the Lutheran doctrine as it is interpreted.

what a paradox,Benedictine? and use the name of Martin Luther? Luther who wrote against all Monastic life and especially the Vows, and especially Obedience ? in ways i cant even quote because he expressed himself this in such vile manner..
how odd.
