Today I had time to watch this appreciated video. I see that the formular for the anniversary of Mozarts death has been celebrated. This is obvious from the Oratio after the Introitus "Requiem aeternam" at the beginning of the Holy Mass, and from the Postcommunio at the end of the video where Mozarts name "Wolfgangi Amadei" is mentioned.

Künstlerisch großartig, imposant und wertvoll.
Trotzdem passt die Musik meines Erachtens nicht zur Messe. Sie lenkt aus meiner Sicht vom hl. Messopfer ab, wie man an der Blickrichtung der Messbesucher erkennen kann.

OMG!! I just heard the opening prayer! It's a Requiem for the repose of the Soul of Wolfgang A. Mozart...! I didn't know this happened or else I would have gone over to attend it!

Ja hier wird unser heiliges Erbe wundervoll offenbar. An diesem Erbe haben die Besten Europas mitgewirkt. Ich nenne nur zwei: der heilige Papst Gregor der Große, und der überragende Komponist Wolfgang Amadeus (Liebling G'ttes) Mozart.

Da fließen die Tränen des Glücks ...

Endlich! Die wundervollen liturgischen Kompositionen der großen Meister werden nicht mehr nur konzertant aufgeführt oder dem Novus ordo übergestülpt, sondern verschmelzen mit der Liturgie, für die sie geschaffen wurden. Herrlich!

Doch sollte man auch bei der Feier einer tridentinischen Liturgie Obacht geben, dass die Musik kein zu großes Eigenleben entwickelt, sonst besteht die Gefahr, dass auch hier die liturgischen Handlungen zur bloßen Umrahmung einer musikalischen Aufführung … [Más]
