Isn't this rationale what we have been listening to for 50 years? What about the unauthorised mistranslations, misinterpretation and misappropriation of Christ's Mystery of Faith, the Divine Liturgy, after this first Vatican 11 document was promulgated? It seems to me they are flogging the same dead-horses of justification, with the same half-truths, which led to the Sacrosanctum Concilium hijackings …More

It seems to me they are flogging the same dead-horses of justification, with the same half-truths, which led to the Sacrosanctum Concilium hijackings? It is Summorum Pontificum, NOT Sacrosanctum Concilium which was the "watershed moment". Fruitful and wonderful?? Fr. Michael Balash is surely deluding himself in the face of the fruits from this Vatican 11 document- which have in fact witnessed to a devastated vineyard, which some of us hope and pray will be redressed going forward from Summorum Potificum.

Even though SC explicitly says Latin liturgy is to be preserved, the above comments make no mention of its importance. In fact, the bearded priest didn't much care for the times he said mass in Latin, presumably because it interfered with his own sentimentalism.
