Bishop Disagrees with Jewish Leader

On Monday polish auxiliary bishop Tadeusz Pieronek of Sosnowiec has disagreed with claims expressed by Riccardo Pacifici, the president of the Roman Jewish community. Pacifici had alleged in Italian TV that Poland is an anti-Semitic Country: “Mister Pacifici is telling us bad jokes” – the bishop stated in front of an Italian website: “The claim of anti-Semitic Poland is wrong, an invention” – he added.

John Paul II Considered Retirement

Pope John Paul II did study the hypothesis of retiring from office because of advanced age and illness. At the time, the question was referred to the then cardinal Joseph Ratzinger. Grant Desme Chooses God Over Baseball
