On Monday polish auxiliary bishop Tadeusz Pieronek of Sosnowiec has disagreed with claims expressed by Riccardo Pacifici, the president of the Roman Jewish community. Pacifici had alleged in Italian TV that Poland is an anti-Semitic Country: “Mister Pacifici is telling us bad jokes” – the bishop stated in front of an Italian website: “The claim of anti-Semitic Poland is wrong, an invention” – he added.
John Paul II Considered Retirement
Pope John Paul II did study the hypothesis of retiring from office because of advanced age and illness. At the time, the question was referred to the then cardinal Joseph Ratzinger. But at the end, the pope wrote down his will to retire only in the case of a sickness that would immobilize him. These rumors where now confirmed in a book written by the late Pope’s postulator, Monsignor Slawomir Oder. According to Oder John Paul concluded the matter by saying: “There is no room in the Church for a retired pope.”

On Monday, Luzhkov said in Moscow: "For several years, Moscow has experienced unprecedented pressure to conduct a gay pride parade, which cannot be called anything but a Satanic act. We have prevented such a parade and we will not allow it in the future. Everyone needs to accept this as an axiom." He added: When it comes to certain social plagues, "it is high time to crack down on them with all the power and justice of the law instead of talking about human rights." Desme will join St. Michael's Abbey of the Norbertine Fathers in Orange County, California. The liturgy in the Abbey is celebrated in Latin according to the new and the old Rite.
