The Young Women Were There

United States

Krista Gesaman reported in Newsweek that there were no young women at the recent March for Life in Washington. But Hilary White, a Canadian writer, posted on her website “anglocath.blogspot.com” pictures proving the opposite. She comments: Maybe Mizz. Gesaman meant there are no young women on the other side of the issue.” And concludes: “I'd well believe it.”

The Supporters of the New Get Old

UK

One of the funniest developments in Catholic circles has been the emergence of a group calling itself “Stand Up for Vatican II” – Damian Thompson reports on his blog. He continues: I know I joke about geriatric trendies on this blog, but this pressure group – while claiming to speak for “the future” – doesn’t even try to conceal how ancient its participants are.“ “Stand Up for Vatican II” is a front organisation for Catholics for a Changing Church, founded as a protest group against Humanae Vitae. It supports women priests, as this link on its website makes clear. Thompson comments: I don’t recall any mention of that subject at Vatican II – but, then, the group’s whole notion of “standing up” for the Council involves contradicting its teachings.

Stamp Out Mother Theresa

USA

Jeff Miller has criticized on „splendoroftruth.com“ an atheist organization for blasting the U.S. Postal Service for its plan to honor Mother Teresa with a commemorative stamp. Miller chose the title: „Stamp out Mother Teresa“. And continues: „As an ex-atheist I find it rather funny that people whose basic creed is »Survival of the Fittest« whine about a stamp. Yep Darwinian Evolution leads to being upset about a picture on a stamp.“

Ralph M. McInerny Has Died

USA

Ralph M. McInerny, University of Notre Dame professor and author, died Friday at the age 80. McInerny was professor of Medieval Studies and professor of philosophy at Notre Dame. Rev. Robert Sirico called him in his blog “the modern epitome of the Renaissance Man: a towering intellectual, a Latinist, raconteur sublime, a writer of doggerel, a mystery writer (the Father Dowling series) and the list could go on. Of all this, I suspect the role in which he took most pride was in being a husband and a father.” Requiescat in pace.

if these nonbelievers don't want the Mother Theresa stamp,,,then don't buy it. Bet they didn't carry a tantrum when the Postal Service came out with a Muslim Stamp. Just another act of evil.
the liberals are running scared as they see Traditionalism returning, and their agenda has been put on somewhat of a hold, especially with this Pontiff. Too bad. You know we have a good Pope when the liberals …More
