Communion Sub altare Dei; Josquin.
Sung by the Schola Abelis of Oxford in the Church of Our Lady of Light, Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire, on Saturday 13th Feb 2010.
Mass was a votive Mass of the Martyrs of England and Wales (a feast with falls on 4th May). This feast is peculiar to England and Wales and the chants are written specially for it.
The Communion antiphon is followed by a polyphonic motet, the first part of Josquin's Tu solus qui facis mirabilia.
