Married priests are an exception. The Church is increasingly convinced that they must remain so, according to Father Laurent Touze. He is professor of spiritual theology at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. Father Touze explained the foundations of priestly celibacy speaking at a two-day conference held last week at his University that belongs to the Opus Dei. The conference, "Priestly Celibacy: Theology and Life," was sponsored by the Congregation for the Clergy as an event for the Year for Priests.

The Spanish Conference of Bishops has launched a new campaign against the liberalization of abortion, elpaix.com reports. They are arranging for 13,000 billboards to be put up in 37 cities throughout Spain with the poster “My life is in your hands”. The campaign will take place from March 15 to March 30.
