Mercy: Last Saturday, the Immaculate’s Committee held near the Vatican a morning of prayer in favour of the founders of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate who are under heavy pressure from the Vatican. The event was dedicated to Pope Francis. The organizers asked him – quote “to show his merciful and paternal sight.” They rely on Pope Francis’ mercy and openness to dialogue.

A group of 10 anonymous priests in the Diocese of Venice, Florida, has started a campaign against their bishop Frank Dewane, accusing him of bullying behaviour or secret acquisition of properties. The priests are supported by the media and by left-leaning groups like “Voice of the Faithful” or “Call to Action”.

Discrimination: Mary McAleese, a two-term President of Ireland, has described the Pope's plan to canvass the bishops' opinions on the family life as "bonkers". According to McAleese it is – quote - "just something profoundly wrong and skewed" about asking clergy for their views when they were all “male celibates”. A world Synod of Bishops on the family is due to be held in Rome this October. Gloria.tv suspects that McAleese also believes that a vet needs to be a donkey in order to cure the respective animal.

The SBA List, a US pro-life organization, has gained a victory at the U.S. Supreme Court in its challenge to an Ohio law that restricts free speech. The SBA List ran ads during the 2010 election campaign asserting Democrat Rep. Steve Driehaus voted for “taxpayer-funded abortion” when he supported Obamacare. Driehaus denied that Obamacare funded abortions and was backed by the Ohio Elections Commission based on Ohio’s false statement statute.
