Mes'kinan.

Me'skinan is a Te'duray word for beggar.

This ten-minute video documentary is about the story of a beggar named Kiaw-Kiaw. Nobody knows her family and place of origin. Perhaps, she was abandoned by her own family in the Municipality of Upi because of her mental defect. After one year of wandering from one place to another here in Upi, Kiaw-Kiaw has found a place of refuge in a convent. She was adopted by a priest there when news broke out that she was sexually abused and was already four months pregnant The love and proper care given to her by the many concerned parishioners have transformed her into a new person.

This story of Kiaw-Kiaw's transformation alludes to the story of the transformation of Upi as a Muncipality. The image of Upi, just like Kiaw-Kiaw has changed because of the unity and great concern of the people for their Municipality. Watch this film and be inspired to work for transformation of our society.
