Archbishop Antonio Franco: "The visit of Benedict XVI to Cyprus opened the broadest dimensions of the Church in this basin of the Middle East, the Mediterranean if you like, with all the problems of this reality in the Middle East. From now until October there is the task of preparing the Synod in local churches. This document should be known thoroughly, discussed locally.
All the Ordinaries, but also too all the exercising bishops of the Middle East will participate in the Synod ... and their task should be to go to Rome and carry the sentiment, as we would say, the "feeling" of the community."
