Raucous Rock Concert by a Priest: The priest David Michael Moses of the Archdiocese of Galveston–Houston concluded his talk at the neoconservative conference SEEK 2026 on January 1 by performing his rock song “Plot Twist.” The performance drew on pop-rock conventions. During the theatrics, Fr. Moses invited attendees to rush the stage, took a selfie with the cheering crowd. He ended by performing “the worm,” a breakdancing move rooted in secular entertainment culture. SEEK 2026 drew more than 26,000 participants.
At the end of his talk at SEEK 2026, Father David Michael Moses encouraged attendees to run up to and gather in front of the stage as he belted out a rock song about living a Christian life. He took a selfie from the stage with the young people cheering behind him and ended his performance by doing “the worm” dance on the stage as the crowd went wild.
"There is a form of liturgical reductionism that the most zealous defenders of contemporary Catholicism often fall into. “It is still valid,” they assert, while ignoring that with each detail of the Church’s worship carried out sloppily or without care, a disease spreads among the faithful. The liturgy is not a sacrament machine, and the Mass is not a meal. For generations of medieval Catholics, who often received the Eucharist only once a year yet commonly and voluntarily attended Mass daily, this was clear. Every rubric of this most sacred worship mattered, consecration and communication alike. God deserves our very best. More than those in our romantic lives. More than those in our family lives. Certainly more than those in our professional lives. These loves are not in competition, nor are they opposed to love of God, and they deserve sincere devotion. But one love stands above all others, surpassing and enlivening them.... The rail slows us down. It stills the body."

Declaration Concerning the Procession of the Holy Spirit * [The Most Exalted Trinity and the Catholic Faith] URBAN IV 1261-1264 CLEMENT IV 1265-1268 GREGORY X 1271-1276 COUNCIL OF LYONS II 1274 Ecumenical XIV (concerning the union of the Greeks) 460 In faithful and devout profession we declare that the Holy Spirit proceeds eternally from the Father and the Son, not as from two beginnings, but from one beginning, not from two breathings but from one breathing. The most holy Roman Church, the mother and teacher of all the faithful, has up to this time professed, preached, and taught this; this she firmly holds, preaches, declares, and teaches; the unchangeable and true opinion of the orthodox Fathers and Doctors, Latin as well as Greek, holds this. But because some through ignorance of the irresistible aforesaid truth have slipped into various errors, we in our desire to close the way to errors of this kind, with the approval of the sacred Council, condemn and reject (those) who presume …More

1 John 4:7-10 "Love is of God." Let us meditate on this for just one week. Love, joy, and peace comes from God; they are God. Mark 6:34-44 Let us note that the first nourishment Jesus gives, is teaching. Now, everything we say and everything others say to us is teaching. Let us carefully examine the words we speak and hear. Let us adjust them positively and realistically. Biblical texts: NAB-RE Normand Thomas.
Cardinal Robert Sarah delivered a series of talks and homilies on liturgy and sacred music in the U.S. from November 21 to 23, as reported by NCRegister.com on January 3. His main points: - For decades, the Church’s liturgy has "too often been instrumentalized" and has become increasingly politicized. - Church hierarchy has "persecuted and excluded" those who have rightly called attention to liturgical abuses. - "The liturgy is not something that you or I can make up or change, even if we think we are experts—or even if we are bishops. We must be humble before the sacred liturgy, as it has been handed down to us through the Church’s tradition." - It is "even scandalous at times" to sing or play music in churches that is neither liturgical nor sacred. - Quoting Benedict XVI: "As far as the liturgy is concerned, we cannot say that one song is as good as another." - Different kinds of music belong in different places. Liturgical music is set apart exclusively for the worship of God. - …More
Jan 2025 I have already shared some dreams I had in the past, one was 17 years ago, and in 2024 two days before Christmas the Lord told me that what he showed me 16 years ago would happen soon, and he showed me again the Great Tribulation, and the judgement to all nations. Last year in 2025 I asked the Lord in a silenced prayer (as I'm used to pray silently) to confirm to me that the dream I had in 2024 two days before Christmas came from him, as a sign I asked him to draw a cross outside my house with the clouds, and he did so in Feb a week after the Feast of the assumption of our Lady to Heaven. I had been having a chain of dreams since 2024 but they have become less frequent and they have been about things that have already happen and other that are still pending. These dreams are sort of filling out part of the blanks that I had in other previous dreams many years ago. I will leave the reference to my dreams at the end of this narration. which I will try to make it short and for that …More
"The Church in Mexico, as in many Latin American countries, has devoted itself largely to social issues and has stopped proclaiming Jesus Christ,” said the Spanish priest Christopher Hartley, speaking to ReligionEnLibertad.com (January 3). Christopher Hartley was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Toledo in 1982 and has since spent more than four decades serving almost entirely as a missionary outside his homeland, in countries including the Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, Sudan, and, most recently, Mexico. Mexican priests are preoccupied with humanitarian issues as if the Church were an NGO, he added. In contrast, evangelical groups “devote themselves to talking about Jesus Christ, the Bible, God’s love, and salvation.” Since 2023, he has been in the Mixteca region of Guerrero, Mexico, evangelizing more than 160 villages with little or no previous Church presence. According to him, many of these communities have never been catechized, lack access to the sacraments, and do not …More
Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Epiphany. We do so with the Church Fathers. The reflections and quotations come from the book titled, Advent and Christmas with the Church Fathers by Marco Pappalardo. Happy New Year to all our readers. Introduction 'The road is long, / we follow a star. / Slow steps and intrepid hearts / gazing with surety upon the Invisible. / We move toward the Event for its contemplation. / Three men, a star, a child, / and overwhelming joy. / Prostrate, we adore.' This poem was written during a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, specifically during worship near the star marking the birthplace of Christ in Bethlehem. Today, Christ reveals himself to us in our hearts and showers us with gifts. What can we give to him? St. Leo the Great, Sermon 32, 1 Therefore, dearest brothers, we recognize the firstfruits of our vocation and our faith in the adoration of the Wise Men. With our souls overflowing with joy, let us celebrate the beginning of our blessed hope. Now, …
JAN 2026 - TRUMP'S Donroe Doctrine as he calls it, receives an opposition and firm disapproval from Canada for the illicit invasion of Venezuela under a pretext of narco terrorism to take over the countries' resources of oil and minerals.. On the other hand Trump pridefully says that he will take control (govern) over the entire hemisphere. Canada reminds the U.S. that they are ready for any action the U.S. may try to force against them as they will never bow down to a dictator and lose their country to become the 51 state in the U.S. Furthermore, calls D.T. a GANGSTER for raging commercial warfare over his allies and turning his back on them to side with Russia, China and Iran, calling D.T. a gangster, and sending Trump a strong message.
