Very interesting.In the UK St Stephan the 1st Martyr is the Patron Saint of Servers.I have served for over 50 years and have 4 of my 6 children aged 3-13 who serve.My wife used to serve also in the UK before we had so many children.

When I lived in Cornwall;Safron buns were all the rage and I could not stand them.So am not sure if the Füssen Luziabrot was Saffron.It didnot taste like it-I will ask the Pfarrbüro when I go and pick up the Katholische Sonntag Zeitung for my daughter to deliver.

Monika,Thank you for that information about Sweden.I will use it in my website report.The person who told me did not mention the eyes.But they were gourged out and It does show two raisens which could well represent the eyes.They did taste good thats for sure!

Thank you for your comment.I am sorry that the quality is so bad.It was a candlelit service and I had my 3 year old daughter on my back and was stuck because extra people had come in the main door and we could not get nearer to get better quality.However I invite you to look at the still photos I took which can be viewed here.They should be available later today on the St Mang Füssen English website on the December News page.

What is the real message is the Archbishop of Vienna giving us by his contradictory actions?Thank God for the obedience of the Auxilary Bishop and that he made it public at the Mass he was banned from attending.What about all the millions of aborted babies,do we now forget them Cardinal Schönborn?
