This third and final Lenten video upload is on the subject of homiletics. Now before you go discounting yourself as not being a member of the clergy, please consider it is the laity who overwhelmingly reach
and preach to the world. May you have a blessed Lent and a holy Easter. Божьих вам благословений!

I thought it would be worthwhile to upload a video on an American scheme which seeks to improve
the standard of liturgical singing in the Russian Orthodox Church. St Augustine of Hippo once said:
“Qui cantat, bis orat / He who sings, prays twice” and “Cantare amantis est / Singing is for lovers”.

The supplying of inaccurate information or the withholding of accurate information are
two sides of the same coin called “deception”. Put simply, a half-truth equals a whole
lie! It is lamentable that many quotations posted on this website and attributed to Our
Blessed Lady and other illustrious saints are fabrications. Even the words of encyclicals
are partially quoted to mislead visitors as to the original meaning being conveyed – a text out of context becomes a pretext. One such ubiquitous … [More]

It is the holy season of Lent, so I thought I would upload three videos with talks given by members of
the Russian Orthodox Church which offer a different perspective on the practice of our Catholic faith.
There are of course differences between the two ancient churches that are still to be fully resolved.

Little Bernadette, help me to follow your example to love God, to pray the Rosary,
and to do penance for sinners. Like you, I want to be close to Mother Mary,
the Immaculate Conception, so that with her, I can love Jesus more.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, pour out Your benedictions upon the Holy Church, upon its
priests and upon all its children. Sustain the just, convert the sinners, assist the dying,
deliver the souls in purgatory, and extend over all hearts, the sweet empire of Your love.

Saint Joseph, ever watchful guardian of the Holy Family, protect the
chosen people of Jesus Christ, keep us free from the blight of error and
corruption, and be our ally in the conflict with the powers of darkness. Amen.
