Excellent and insightful. I have been teaching and writing a similar message for years, but you have explained it so well! In many ways the pro-life movement has become institutionalized, and therefore bureaucratic, which means that change is very difficult.

I was raised to be a manly man, a development capped off by time in the United States Marine Corps. Marines are taught to be "Always Faithful," hence the motto, "Semper Fidelis," and to say what we mean and mean what we say, to go to the heart of the matter,with no beating around the bush. But it is odd that so many orthodox Catholics are shocked by that, and see me as an enemy because I point things out that are not even morally wrong but just bureaucratic screw-ups. I am shocked by this, and it gives the lie to those men who claim to be orthodox, but miss that particular masculine trait.

I thought he was a great Cardinal, and he has done great work, but either he or his spokesman have gone senile. There are radical differences in asking for abolishing communion in the hand, or a declaration that mary is co-redemptrix, or asking to the Tridentine mass, but the opther things are already prohibited by the Church, especially the ordination of women, in the strongest toned. Pope John Paul II said that is totally settled.
