I see the point. But I want to contribute another thought. I think that the priest was also "lying", with all due respect. Specifically, it's a form of lying called "misleading". It was done for a good purpose because any kid who had tried to find Mark 17 and did not find it would say: "I was looking for it but did not find it anywhere". And by telling the truth the kid would have purged the priest's misleading hint. I hope I made myself clear.

Superb analysis, thank you; just one suggestion on technicality - the music is too loud and it almost dampens out the narrator's voice; it's killing me because if I increase the volume the music also get louder; please consider next time; and keep sending more;
