The Lassus Scholars will provide all the music for the liturgical celebrations included in the Fota V International Liturgy Conference to be held in Cork, 7-9 July 2012. The ceremonies include first Vespers for 6 Sunday after Pentecost; Pontifical High Mass celebrated by His Eminence Cardinal Burke, Prefect of the Apostolic Segnatura, Second Vespers of 6th Sunday; and Solemn High Mass on July 9. All ceremonies will take place at Sts Peter and Paul's Church, Cork City.

The superb music for all of the liturgical celebrations during the Fota IV Conference was provided by the Lassus Scholars, Dublin, under the directionof Ite O'Donovan. The organist was Paul McKeever.

This is a very encouraging sign of the future of liturgical music in Ireland. Great praise must go to the Pueri cantores, their choir directors and to Miss Ite O'Donovan, the president of the Irish Association.

It goes without saying that the College Chapel at Maynooth is a superb and glorious setting for the Mass.
