Who Hired This Guy? John Gehring calls Catholic critics of the homosexual and secular agenda on cruxnow.com “conservative hardliners”. He staunchly supports the immoral gay agenda. The same Gehring used to be an associate director for media relations at the US Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Polish Spring is Over: Seminaries in Poland have registered 804 newcomers this year, a result slightly higher than the 762 last year. Some 200 have decided to join monasteries, compared to 169 a year earlier. However applications for the priesthood remain around half of what they were a decade ago. 12 Polish seminaries have been closed since 1991.
Gradualism: Westminster Cardinal Vincent Nichols has claimed in his last pastoral letter that the Synod of Bishops was – quote – “never about changing the teaching of the Church”. Having said this, Nichols proposes gradualism claiming that one can approach mortal sin in a, as it were, positive way by looking at - quote – “elements of goodness” contained in it. But this sternly contradicts Church teaching and ignores the essence of sin. Gloria.tv wonders whether Nichols wants to apply gradualism to Pedophilia.
Dangerous Times Ahead: Jesuit American Magazine quotes pro-gay archbishop Bruno Forte whom the Pope appointed special secretary of the recent Synod. On Oct. 13 Forte recalled that the - quote – “major progress” at the Second Vatican Council came between its first and second session, when the bishops returned home and discussed the topics under debate in their dioceses. Forte hopes something similar happens with the Synod that is being conducted in two separate sessions. Quote: “We hope that in this year the laity will make their voices heard, and that the bishops listen.” Gloria.tv comments: The term “laity” means in this case the pro-gay mass-media.

Despite the immutable nature of church teaching on homosexuality and his own criticisms of the government's gay marriage plans, Nichols's outspoken defence of fortnightly masses for gay, lesbian and transgender Roman Catholics won him gratitude and respect.
The Soho masses ended a year ago, reputedly because of pressure from the Vatican and an outcry from traditionalist British Catholics who disapproved of what they saw as a celebration of homosexuality.
For six years, however, they were a fixture – and staunchly defended by the archbishop. In 2010, Nichols laid into critics of the Soho masses, saying: "Anybody from the outside who is trying to cast a judgment on the people who come forward for communion really ought to learn to hold their tongue."
It was a sentiment echoed by Francis, who last year declared: "If someone is gay and seeks the Lord with good will, who am I to judge?"
