Did Christ Suffer, Die, & Resurrect in Vain?

Brief apologetic regarding Saint Peter. Do we live as though we believe Christ has risen? Being a Christian means we believe in all of what Christ and the Church teach. Which life do we love more; temporal or eternal? Will we care if we are happy on earth if we spend eternity in hell? Is Christ's death and Resurrection in vain for us? The real reason Christ mentioned Peter in Mark 16:7 (But go, tell his disciples and Peter) is simple when you put yourself in Peter's shoes. Peter had to be thinking Christ would NEVER forgive him for denying him three times just a couple of days before. So Christ mentioned Peter that way to make SURE Peter would be there with the other disciples. It was Christ's way of making sure Peter knew Christ had forgiven him. It was also a way of letting the others know Peter's still Christ's leader and to keep them from blaming Peter for denying him. His message also had to go a long way toward uniting them and giving them some courage. I'm sure they were pointing fingers are each other and wishing they had all acted differently that weekend (except for maybe John). Christ is saying all is forgiven lets get back to doing GOD'S will meet me in Galilee.

7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter, 'He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.' "
