Quote: “Someone who knew her well said: ‘this woman has never spoken ill of anyone, never gossiped, she always smiled’.” The Pope commented: “Such a woman can be canonized tomorrow.”
Cañizares Gone: On Thursday Pope Francis appointed archbishop Carlos Osoro Sierra of Valencia as the new Archbishop of Madrid in Spain. At the same time he moved Cardinal Antonio Cañizares Llovera, until now Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship to Valencia. Cañizares was brought to Rome by Pope Benedict in order to contribute to a renewal of the liturgy, a task, that he never was able to fulfill. According to various sources it was Cañizares himself to ask the Pope to return to Spain.
