Spiritual exercises underway for Pope and curia.
A time to live in the desert and listen to the voice of Jesus, correcting the defects “we all have” and “facing the temptations that every day attack us.” With these words, Pope Francis on Sunday – at the Angelus prayer – defined the week of Spiritual Exercises, which he began on the fist Sunday of Lent at the House of the Divine Teacher in Ariccia, outside Rome. The Pope is taking part in the retreat along with the members of the Roman Curia, following the meditations of Fr. Bruno Secondin, O.Carm., on the theme: “Servants and prophets of the Living God”. The Exercises conclude on the morning of Friday, February 27th.
