Canon Arvisenet was a contemporary of the Curé of Ars,
and his excellent book “An Epitome of the Priestly Life”
is quality reading for priests and laity alike. Although
this book was written nearly 200 years ago, it points to
the perennial problems of laxity and lukewarmness found
within the ranks of priests. This book is well worth reading!
