Pope: Restore Peace to Kyrgyzstan.

Pope Benedict XVI:
"I want to make an urgent appeal that peace and security will soon be restored to southern Kyrgyzstan following serious clashes in recent days. To relatives of the victims and those suffering from this tragedy, I express my heartfelt closeness and assure you of my prayers. I also invite all ethnic communities in the country to renounce any provocation or violence and I ask the international community to work towards ensuring humanitarian aid reaches the affected populations quickly."
