Bishop Bernard Fellay - the superior general of the Society of St Pius X - has said that reconciliation talks with the Vatican will soon be coming to an end, with little change in the views of either side. Bishop Fellay expressed himself in an interview published on Monday on the Society’s American website. He said that extra problems had been created by plans for the beatification of Pope John Paul II and for an interreligious prayer meeting in Assisi. The talks were launched in late 2009 in an effort by Pope Benedict XVI to repair a 21-year break with the society.

Linda Gibbons, a Canadian pro-life hero will have her day before the country's Supreme Court, arguing that her case should be heard by civil courts. Linda has spent nearly 2 years in prison. She has been jailed for repeatedly violating an injunction that bars her from picketing at Toronto abortion clinics. Under the provisions of civil law, she is jailed when she violates that injunction - and then pickets again immediately after her release.

Bishop Raymond Centène of Vannes (Brittany) demonstrated Saturday with more than 3000 faithful on the streets of his Episcopal city against persecution of Christians and for promoting religious freedom in the world, particularly the Middle-East. After this event, he offered Mass and presided a night-service in his cathedral. The bishop was vested in red, which is the color of martyrs. The Cathedral was crowded and decorated with red embellishment and palms also symbolizing the martyrs.

St. Judes SSPX chapel in Eddystone,PA is going to have a bake sale on March 6 in two weeks to support the Church. I welcome and encourage all Traditional Catholics in the Philadelphia area to go to Mass there that day and buy some pastries.

Thank you for the update about the talks between the SSPX and Rome. I too have been following the developments for a few years now. I've been on only one pro-life march which was lead by the Cardinal Archbishop himself. Although there was a heavy police presence, we were taunted en route to the abortion clinic where we briefly prayed and then disbanded. “Keep your rosaries off our ovaries” the counter protesters chanted along with other more vulgar comments.
Our instructions, given in church prior to the march, was that no matter what happened and no matter how disagreeable were the taunts and taunters, we were to maintain our composure, ignore the counter protesters and continue to pray the rosary.
This was my first and only pro-life march. I felt I didn't belong since I didn't then and I don't now have the proper temperament for taking abuse and allowing it to continue without responding. However, for this march we were given our orders by the Cardinal and we obeyed.
