Yesterday during his weekly audience Benedict XVI spoke about Marguerite d’Oingt, a French Carthusian nun, who died in 1310. “Marguerite viewed life as a path of perfection leading to complete configuration to Christ, above all in the contemplation of his saving passion” – the pope said. He added: “She imagined the Lord’s life, his words and his actions, as a Book which he holds out to us, a Book to be studied and imprinted on our hearts and lives, until the day we read it from within, in the contemplation of the Blessed Trinity”.

A report by an Al Jazeera journalist documenting a late-term forced abortion has been posted on the Internet. Mrs Xiao Ai Ying was eight months pregnant with her second child when the forced abortion took place. “There were many men surrounding my wife,” said Xiao’s husband. “They held her arms behind her back, pushed her head against the door, kicked her stomach. I don’t know if they were trying to give her a miscarriage, right there and then.” Chinese police then confined Xiao to the hospital where the forced abortion took place.

The social network Facebook removed the group "Queer Kissing Flashmob" from its site. The group’s profile called for homosexuals to kiss in front of the Pope during his visit to Barcelona. Facebook justified the suppression of the group with this notice: "Queer Kissing Flashmob has been removed for violating the terms of use. A Facebook page is used for business and promotional purposes. Furthermore, pages promoting hate, threatening or obscene acts are not allowed.”

In other words go and study, think, pray (like St Thomas Aquinas) and let the light of Truth guide one to reform (or the struggle therein).
Therefore, one remains unconvinced of the need to be so uncivilised in flaunting ones …More
