Hummmm...... I can't help but recall the Gospel here: You men of little faith; you look for signs and wonders. But you will only be given one; of the Son of Man lifted high on the Cross!

Reading the times is one thing, but going as far as saying that it is the "end times" is quite another. Medjugore is still unapproved by the Church and many others, even on this site, have highlighted its inconsistences. I think much more needs to be done to establish your claim....

ACL I realize that throughout history many ages thought they were in the end times but my take goes much deeper than that. In Medjugorje Our Lady has said that this is the last time she'll appear to mankind before the return of Christ and she herself has said we are in the last days. You do not have to believe in Medjugorje apparitions at all (but being there is a Papal Commission on the case it may be at your own peril not to)-this is the first time in history where ALL religions on earth are speaking out in their belief that these are being seen as end times. Even non-religious people are speaking about feeling as if they see signs of the end of days-THIS is unprecedented in history. The signs of the times are most telling because corruption upon this earth in numbers of deaths within World Wars and Nazi & many Communistic regimes murdering millions upon millions has killed many more than the plagues ever did. The curruption and sexualization of the youth is another sign that has snowballed in intensity beyond comprehension in the past couple decades. News stories of 2nd grade students having intercourse IN SCHOOL!- are in the news these days. The cup of sin has been running over for many, many years and it is naive to believe even given these few things I mention that there was ever a time in history where corruption covered the entire globe to this extent. I am not saying we can know any dates or years but an interesting item comes to mind when writing this-it is an exorcism done in the 1920's in Earling Iowa. Tan Publishing (A Catholic Publishing Company) book "Begone Satan" is the document of this exorcism performed in Earling Iowa in the mid-1920's. This exorcism was horrific and took several weeks-it made the movie "The Exorcist" look like Bug's Bunny in what was seen and heard. Unusual in this exorcism was that not only demons of all angelic orders were present along with damned human souled demons but Lucifer himself was a possessing entity among them-very unusual for Lucifer to make it known he's joined the party. The demons in this exorcism revealed that "when man will write the year 2000, the end will be nearing." -this being revealed in 1926 so the hour just may be short. I personally feel the end of days nearing as naturally as I can feel humidity in the air of a hot Summer day. To me it is painfully obvious.

@kfarley - I recall the black death and the diverse plagues of both East and West with great clarity when you say "In the last few years we've seen more natural and man-made disasters...." and conclude that we are living in the end times.

The plagues of the dark ages and late medieaval age, one third and more, of each village in Europe was killed; scholars have deduced that this is more like three quarters of ALL of Europe!! Whole villages and cities were empty in 700AD, in 1125, 1345!! To just put things into perspective: the USA has approx. 300M people, picture 175M dead in a space of a year!! You wouldn't even have the space to bury, burn or get rid of the bodies..... THIS is real catastrophe!

The aftermath of the plagues was a resurgence of commence, civilisation and prosperity. Natural population control perhaps? Who knows, but the Japan crisis is just ONE of the many disasters in Earth's history from which all will recover with grim lessons learnt!

What is going on in Japan is far worse than Chernobyl ever was. These nuclear reactors are larger than Chernobyl and Japan being a very secretive society is downplaying everything. There are probably now 5 reactors in full meltdown and even though this is not being reported the fact that nuclear inspectors have let on that the situation is "very bad" translates into "danger off the charts"-unprecedented catastrophy. I have a Russian friend who survived Chernobyl who lost a leg and survived lung cancer from the radiation poisoning from Chernobyl who is about 7 years younger than I am. His mother got him into the United States soon after the disaster and that is the reason he's alive today. The death tole from this accident is going to be tallied for years to come in cancer cases that are going to be taking the lives of perhaps hundreds of thousands into the future. I am totally uninterested in conspiracy-type mindsets in individuals but I don't think it is too hard to see we are living in the end times. In the last few years we've seen more natural and man-made disasters than in the previous century! We may see Christ's return in our lifetime.

Good news...the dogs have been rescued and are receiving veterinary care.
