Paul Newman, beyond the blue eyes.

Even "L’Osservatore Romano" has paid tribute to the great film legend, Paul Newman, who recently died after a long illness. The Vatican newspaper offers an article that highlights the years this actor of the ‘blue gaze’ lived, between the screen and the family, as one who was always "discreet and original."

Awarded an Oscar for Best Actor in 1986 for "The Color of Money," Mr. Newman stayed by his wife’s side throughout their lives until death, performing all types of roles, as playboy, spy, detective, cowboy, Mafioso and businessman. He was, according to the Vatican newspaper, a person with a "generous heart", a "father who suffered," and an actor whose dignity and style were rare in the environment of Hollywood. He did not attempt to hide his age, even in the world of entertainment where many go to great lengths to prevent appearing old.

Paul Newman donated millions of dollars for drug abuse prevention, to the development of healthy foods and to the care of children with terminal illnesses.

kfarley, thanks for letting me..I should have been more astute. My apologies to Lenny.

holyrope1 , Lenny was just quoting Paul Newman's support of gay rights not his own. Lenny put a link on his post where Paul Newman makes this statement in support of gay rights. Paul Newman was an ultra-liberal "hipster" who personally supported every left-leaning issue that Hollywood was pushing at any given time.

Lenny: ..you say your a supporter of "gay rights", - in otherwords, your saying you are a supporter of Sodomy, of Sin.
"And in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is Filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error. And as they liked Not to have God in their …More

"And in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is Filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error. And as they liked Not to have God in their knowledge, God delivered them up to a reprobate sense, to do those things which are not convenient." (Rom 1:26-28)

This is the Sin that you, Lenny, support.

There is help out there. Many have left their choice of living unnaturally.

What people do with their private areas is the difference between going to heaven or hell. "gay rights"?-the right to go against God's laws?-Being a sodomite does not give anyone special rights. Sin is sin. You either obey God or you don't-it is that simple. Being a supporter of "gay rights" is being a supporter of something that is offensive to God. Supporting gays living a celibate lifestyle is what Catholics are called to do-NOT being an advocate to Mortal sin-people have free will and the "right" to send their souls to hell if they continue offending god with their sinfulness.

😲 Oh oh! Didn’t know the following about Mr. Newman.
“I'm a supporter of gay rights. And not a closet supporter either. From the time I was a kid, I have never been able to understand attacks upon the gay community. There are so many qualities that make up a human being... by the time I get through with all the things that I really admire about people, what they do with their private parts is …More
