SWEET SPOUSE OF OUR LADY - Apostolate of St Joseph Prince of the Church.
The Apostolate of St. Joseph Prince of the Church was founded in 2011 with a simple goal: to spread knowledge, love and devotion to St. Joseph. St. Joseph was proclaimed Patron of the Universal Church on December 8, 1870 by Pope Pius IX, and yet the majority of Roman Catholics know little if nothing about him.
There are in fact many books about St. Joseph, however many of them are hundreds of fine print pages long which dissuade the faithful from even attempting to read. Other books are a decent number of pages, yet they leave the reader wanting, not really learning much of anything about St. Joseph besides what the author has speculated.
A certain layman decided enough was enough and took it upon himself to put together a concise yet simple book that anyone could understand, in order to get to know the man whom Christ called "Dad". The author is not a theologian nor is he a public speaker with a reputation to rely on for book sales. He is a 29 year old Roman Catholic who wants to share his Patron Saint with the world. Since publication of his first book "St. Joseph: Prince of the Church" in 2010, the author has managed to get copies out to people on almost every continent. The book is available for purchase online and can be shipped worldwide. To those who live in impoverished areas and cannot afford the 20 odd dollars for a copy, the author has sent out dozens and dozens of books completely free of charge at his own expense. The author is just a regular person who lives paycheque to paycheque and the fact that he spends much of his hard earned money to propagating devotion to St. Joseph says it all. The goal of this apostolate is not financial gain, it is to make St. Joseph better known and loved by the faithful. Even those who are not Roman Catholic have given positive reviews after reading this book.
