Another Blow for the Papists: Conservative and papist Catholicism of the United States has been dealt another blow with the appointment of Blase Cupich as the new archbishop of Chicago according to the journalist Sandro Magister. The first blow was the news of the imminent removal of Cardinal Raymond Burke. With Cupich’s nomination Pope Francis has plunged Conservative American Catholicism into a profound depression, almost to the edge of a nervous breakdown – writes Magister.
Cupich Will Not Die in Prison: Magister quotes from a column written recently by former Chicago archbishop Cardinal Francis E. George, for his diocesan newspaper: “I expect to die in bed, my successor will die in prison and his successor will die a martyr in the public square.” Magister comments: “It is difficult to imagine that his prophecy will come true, at least for his immediate successor.”
Enemy Of The Roman Liturgy: Magister recalls that Cupich’s first episcopal see was Rapid City, where he succeeded conservative Charles J. Chaput. In 2002 Cupich became noteworthy for prohibiting a traditionalist Catholic community from celebrating the Easter Triduum according to the venerable ancient Roman rite.
Nobody Wanted Cupich: Magister recalls that at the electoral cycle for the current president and vice-president of the U.S. episcopal conference held in November of 2013 the ten candidates included Cupich. His was considered the most distinctly progressive of the candidacies presented and received only 10 out of 236 votes.
No Collegiality: Pope Francis used the same procedure in Chicago as he did in Madrid and Sydney according to Sandro Magister. He appointed Cupich without having it discussed first by the members of the Congregation for Bishops. For Chicago the Pope also used his own personal consultation. Cupich’s appointment is thought to have been recommended to the pope with particular enthusiasm by Cardinal Óscar Andrés Rodríguez Maradiaga and above all by Cardinal Theodore McCarrick a representative of the liberal ancient regime of the U.S. Episcopate.

I see the Pope as a South American Jesuit; imbued completely with the Vision of the Vatican II precepts, as embraced by the revolutionary spirit of the day.

I think what we are witnessing in the Church is an utter loss of faith, which creates a vacuum that must be filled.
Faith in what the Church has always taught Living Tradition is be replaced with social justice naturalism.
Naturalism {Modernism if you prefer} has taken front stage in many quarters of the Church, for some koolaid drinkers, it is the new orthodoxy.
What will follow, if this path continues will be...The punishment{or fruit of our sin} The Man of Perdition.
Read the encyclical of St. Pope Pius X on the Anniversary of the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception.
Pay close attention, when he writes why Holy Mary is the destroyer of all Heresy. This Saint Pope Had Faith, and Knew God!

The elect will suffer much, because this APOSTASY can't happen with a pope doing what our Lord wants, they need someone who, is in line with the world, the man of perdition WILL enter the Holy Temple, which is not in Jerusalem, this enemy needs someone who can twist everything in such a way, that 'HE WHO HOLDS INIQUITY IN CHECK IN THE WORLD, WILL BE NO MORE...'

I agree, I think this Pope knows exactly what he is up to! He is not a dumb man. He is going slow with change and is slowly appointing liberal people to do his work. I think he is a flaming liberal and is slowly changing tradition. The Catholics that don't know better are like frogs in a pot, the water is stating to simmer now though.
