L'elemento discriminante fra i "benedetti" e i "maledetti" è la forma concretissima dell'amore: ti sei preso cura di chi ti ho messo vicino? E' commovente la concretezza di Gesù: dar da bere e da mangiare, visitare, curare, ospitare, vestire... Sono quei gesti dell'amore quotidiano, nascosto e silenzioso, che fanno la differenza!
Mi piace proprio questo brano di Vangelo perché è una vera cannonata che può svegliarci dal nostro cristianesimo assonnato, dai nostri spiritualismi vuoti e inconcludenti. Il Signore ci chiama ad una preghiera che cambia il cuore, gli occhi, le mani, e non a forme di finta spiritualità che anestetizzano e assopiscono. Il Signore ci chiama a celebrare quell'Eucaristia che non rimane intrappolata tra le mura delle nostre Chiese, ma che prosegue nelle nostre case, nelle fabbriche, negli uffici, nella scuola.
