Shortly after the departure of conservative Father Robert Spitzer as the University’s president, his successor Thayne McCulloh allowed a production of “The Vagina Monologues,” overturning Spitzer’s decision to ban the scandalous play. The Knights of Columbus club was almost prevented from becoming a student club. In 2012 the pro-gay and pro-abortion Anglican Archbishop Desmond Tutu was invited as a commencement speaker. The school doesn’t require job applicants for faculty or staff jobs to disclose their religious affiliation.
Priests Defending North Korea: Seoul Father Park Chang-sin said during a sermon on Friday that North Korea should open fire if South Korea and the U.S. continue with joint military exercises near the maritime border with the North. The sermon was part of a mass arranged by priests to demand the resignation of Conservative President Park Geun-hye. The presidential office has openly expressed its displeasure at the priests' move. In his sermon, the priest disputed that a South Korean warship that sank in March 2010 was torpedoed by the north.
Genocidal Birth Control: The Sri Lankan military have threatened Tamil Catholic priests in the north of the island for having exposed the recent genocidal experiment of birth control carried out by the Sri Lankan authorities. Jesuit Father Veeresan Yogeswaran is one of the leading human rights activists in the area. Sri Lankan Defence Secretary and presidential sibling invited Pope Francis for the second time within four months to the island on behalf of his brother.

You seem to have waded in on a complex ethnic and cultural issue without much thought on how it could effect Catholics in a predominantly Budhist country. The Tamil struggle for an independent state is a global one, and they have focused on Sri Lanka as its much smaller and easily bullied. The bulletin your news item is based on has been lifted from a Tamil terrorist website called Tamilnet. These terrorists invented the suicide bomb, recruited child soldiers and practiced ethnic cleansing of non Tamils in the Tamil areas under their control. Sadly, some priests too were involved helping the military struggle of the terrorists. The situation here is slightly worse than practicing the heretical liberation theology. So please be weary before jumping into conclusions. A great Oratorian blessed, Joseph Vaz, is loved by Catholics Budhists and Hindus alike in the country, and the invitation to the Holy Father is to Cannonise him.
