Thank You Bishop Finn: The Vatican has forced brave Bishop Robert Finn of Kansas City-Saint Joseph into retirement. The pretext for the move was Finn’s unjust conviction for allegedly having failed to report a suspected child pornography case of a priest. Because of his Catholic stances Finn was not popular in the Vatican. Catholic League’s Bill Donahue points out that in the case Finn contacted the authorities, though it had no legal mandate to do so and he ordered an independent investigation, even though there was no complainant.

Intrinsically Moral Evil: Archbishop Anthony Apuron of Agaña on the island of Guam, an unincorporated territory of the United States in the western Pacific Ocean, has criticized same-sex pseudo-marriage in the newsletter of his archdiocese. He calls the homosexual disorder an "intrinsically moral evil." The archbishop also asserts that the state has no right to define the marriage contract itself because marriage is a reality that precedes the state. Introducing same-sex pseudo-marriage is for the archbishop the road to a totalitarian system. Quote: “The state will require the Church to accept its re-definition of marriage by way of antidiscrimination laws; this is evident in Europe.”

No Comment: The Spanish blog La Cigueña de la Torre has published this French cartoon. The priest says: “Second Vatican Council has opened the Church”. The altar boy answers: “And the people have left.”

A Lot Of Money: The Italian Financial Guard has performed a new search in the house of the former bishop of Monreale, Sicily, Monsignor Francesco Micchichè and seized sacred objects, silverware and bonds for about three million euro. Miccichè is investigated for misappropriation and embezzlement of diocesan funds. Recently he filed a complained in the Vatican against Mazara del Vallo Bishop Domenico Mogavero whom the Vatican had sent to Monreale as an Apostolic visitator. Micchichè accused him of defamation and violation of confidentiality.
