Catholic Divorce: Patrick Archbold has “a great deal of concern” about yesterday’s changes in the process of annulment of marriage, introduced by the Pope. Francis abolished the automatic appeals process and all power is now placed in the Bishop and his appointees. For Archbold this will predictably open up the possibility of Catholic divorce.

Confusing: Pope Francis transmitted a video message to last week’s International Congress of Theology held in Buenos Aires. In it he claims that – quote – “one is not a Christian in the same way in the Argentina of today as in the Argentina of 100 years ago. One is not a Christian in the same way in India, in Canada as in Rome.” He also deplores an opposition generated between Theology and Pastoral Care, but he locates this especially in the times before Second Vatican Council. He locates Christ’s incarnation – quote – “in this concrete world, this concrete Argentina, in her streets, in her neighborhoods, in her people.”

Reality Check: Bishop Laszlo Kiss-Rigo of Szeged-Csanád, Hungary, called the influx of migrants, which is especially massive in the Szeged area quote – “an invasion”. Quote: “They come here with cries of ‘Allahu Akbar.’” The bishop is “in total agreement” with prime minister Victor Orban who attempts to take control over the migration. He also stated that Pope Francis “doesn’t know the situation.” Kiss-Rigo said that the migrants are posing as refugees but actually present a grave threat to the continent’s Christian values. According to him they leave rubbish in their wake and refuse when offered food.

Only The Old Remain: Chaldean Catholic Bishop Antoine Audo of Aleppo, Syria, has commented on the refugee crisis: “We cannot honestly tell people: run away, someone will welcome you.” “I'll never say a bad word against who leaves because he wants to protect his children. But for us it's a pain to see families leaving, and many of them are Christian. It is a sign that the war will not end, and that those will ultimately prevail who want to destroy the country.” Audo hears in Aleppo about young people who say to each other: ‘Let us form a group and go, let us escape on our own, without asking our families’. Quote: “This means that only the old remain here.”

Could Gloria.tv give the source for the Pope's pantheistic sounding view regarding Christ's "incarnation" (????). What new "surpise" of the "spirit" that haunts the pope is that? What does it mean for Christ`to become incarnate in anything other than the Host? A people?
