The Pope said this in an address to students and staff of the Pontifical Theological Faculty "Teresianum" who were received at the Vatican on the faculty's 75th anniversary. The Church, the Pope said, continues to recommend the practice of spiritual direction not only to those wishing to follow the Lord closely, but to every Christian who wants to live their baptism responsibly, that is live a new life in Christ. Benedict XVI also encouraged the students to draw on the experience of their years of study in Rome and to be open to the universal dimension of the Church.
